Women's Olympics 2021 Betting Picks

WINNER, winner chicken dinner. Pajaree Anannarukarn (28/1) came in clutch to wrap up our 4th outright of the year. Can’t say it didn’t come without a headache though. Pajaree started the day -3 thru her first four holes then the sixth hole came and she walked away with a triple…She then put her head down, got to work and battled all the way back to end up in the three way tie they had to start the day with.

On the 72nd hole, Kupcho then proceeded to put it in the water to take her out of contention leaving a playoff to Pajaree and Emma Talley. Both make pars after going right off their tee shots. On the second playoff hole, once again both of them miss right but Pajaree clears the bunker. After a couple lay ups Talley sent her 3rd way right into the crowd and proceeded to make bogey. Leaving two putts for Pajaree‘s victory.

This week's course is going to look rather familiar as the men played it just a few days ago so there’s not too crazy much to really dive into as we know it pretty well. Kasumigaseki Country Club, will still play as a Par 71 for the women and at 6,648 yards this course will not be a slouch. Much as we saw with the men I expect ball striking to shine here. Stay in the fairway, hit your greens and make some putts but most importantly I'm gonna go ahead and say whoever golfs their ball better than the field will have the best chance to win.

25/1 & lower

Danielle Kang - 14/1 (PointsBet)

Well her streak of 5th place finishes came to an end at the weather shortened Marathon with a 9th. I can guarantee you she would have finished 5th if they played the final round. Still in search of her first win in 2021. I can’t think of a better time to pick it up along with a Gold medal.

25/1-70/1

Leona Maguire - 25/1 and Yuka Saso - 35/1 (DK Sportsbook)

You’re gonna see everyone, their mother and grandmother write these two up this or already have written these two up depending when this gets published so I’m combining them. Two ladies that have shown up to play this year. Not a totally atrocious number by the books and great DK prices. Yeah that’s a recipe for disaster. Anywho, they are chalk worth eating…

Xi Yu Lin - 35/1 (DK Sportsbook)

Top 10s in her last two majors, top 15s in five of the last 7 events total. 2016 Olympian so the experience isn’t completely new. Sitting just under the two mentioned above, Jessica Korda and Minjee Lee in DK pricing could potentially be an interesting pivot. Or complete chalk. Pat Perry and myself are one in the same when it comes to ownership guesses. IYKYK

Long Shots

Madeline Sagstrom - 100/1 (DK Sportsbook)

Annika wins the US Senior Women’s Open…Sagstrom wins Olympic gold? Ok maybe I’m just pushing angles to fill space in this article. She hung around the leaderboard at the PGA Championship with a top 15 and put up a nice Sunday 67 at the Evian in her last start.

Marcus’ FOMO Bets

Nelly Korda - 7/1

Sanna Nuutinen - 200/1

That’s it, that's the bet.
