KPMG Women's PGA Championship 2021 Betting Picks

After a week off WE ARE BACK! Just in time for the season’s third Major. I mean there was an article last week, the Nut Hut got the picks (you should sign up if you haven't the link is somewhere on this website) but someone who didn’t win $20k last week… Congrats Pat… was busy tanning on a beach, knocking back a few drinks and just overall enjoying life with his family, wasn't able to post it... SMH. I know how disappoi… What am I saying, no one reads this. DB just saved you from losing money if you do.

On to the recap. Last week we saw an absolute birdie fest with Nelly winning at a lowly 25 under par to put it into even more perspective if you didn't get to 16 under you didn't even make the top 20. We’ve been saying Nelly has been close to taking the next step towards becoming the absolute force on tour for a few months now and a performance like this is why. She has all the tools to dominate. She’ll look to carry this momentum into the third major.

Now after our quick stop in Michigan, we jet on down…well the Korda’s did…to the Atlanta Athletic Club (Highlands Course) which you may remember from the 2011 Men’s PGA Championship or almost every Tiger Woods video game from the early 2010’s. We have not seen this course on tour as the 1990 US Women’s Open was played on the Riverside course. We did see Keegan win said PGA Championship at 8 under par for the week so I could see the winning score be around there or even a tad bit higher. Look for ball strikers to shine this week though as always whoever golfs their ball better than the field will have the best chance to win.

25/1 & lower

Inbee Park - 12/1 (DK Sportsbook)

Nipping on Jin Young Ko’s heels to become #1 player in the world once again, Park has been on a torrid pace this season with only two finishes outside of the top 10. The three time (In a row might I add) PGA Champion is looking to add her 8th trophy to the Majors collection.

25/1-70/1

Danielle Kang - 28/1 (DK Sportsbook)

Your 2017 PGA Champion and 6th ranked player in the world has turned her game back around since an average end to 2020. With two top 5’s in her last three events and five other top 13’s this year she's got to be licking her chops again to get back into the winner circle after her back to back wins out of the restart last year.

Jennifer Kupcho - 60/1 (PointsBet)

Talk about consistency and trending outside of the Pure Silk missed cut, Kupcho has six top 30’s with progressively better finishes leading to her second best finish of the season a 10th last week. The former number 1 women's amateur is still searching for her first LPGA win, this could be a big ask or big breakthrough. She has won a big tournament in Georgia in the past in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.

Celine Boutier - 66/1 (DK Sportsbook)

Yet another player that's been playing some good golf over the last few months with top 20’s in three of her last four starts the native of France has snuck up on some Major leaderboards in the past with top 10’s may not be a bad time to do that once again.

Long Shots

Lizette Salas - 80/1 (PointsBet)

The Nut Hut got this exact same pick last week, Salas proceeded to finish 6th after a nice 23rd at the US Open. She hasn't won on tour since 2014 but as with a few others written up she has seen herself on a Major leaderboard with top 5’s at the Women's Open and 2019 PGA Championship.

Emily Kristine Pedersen- 175/1 (DK Sportsbook)

After three straight wins on the Ladies Euro Tour last season she went a little MIA to start the year not playing on the either major tour until the ANA but since then she’s been playing some pretty decent golf and most recently finishing 7th of the women and 25th overall at the Scandinavian mixed event.
