Let's Go Juicin

The 2023 Genesis Scottish Open Betting Favorite Cross Sport Parlay

What’s up, Golf Addicts,

Links season is officially here! The golf world has taken the trip across the pond for two straight weeks in the UK, finishing at The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool next week. This week, the boys are back at the Renaissance Club for the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open. While we all wait to see how the weather will play out, our boy Nasty Nate, provided us with an awesome edition of this week’s Rundown. While the Tour season is coming to a close, the TJ team is hot. If you followed last week’s Let’s Go Juicin and the Sunday Parlay, you’ll know we are cashing in picks each week. Now let’s check out the betting board.

The Top of the Scottish Open Betting Board

Wind, Rain, and Fireworks on the Links!

Most of the world’s best have arrived in Scotland, with the exception of Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, and of course the LIV boys. Scottie Scheffler and Rory are at the top of the betting board and both are coming in firing and in great form. Scottie missed the cut here last year and Rory has been a top-10 machine the last few months. I expect both to be in contention assuming there isn’t a major weather wave disadvantage.

Last year’s champion, Xander Schauffele and his pal Patrick Cantlay are also playing well and the books have them around the +1200 mark for the week. Rounding out the top of the betting board are Viktor Hovland, Tyrrell Hatton, and the Scorching Rickie Fowler. Each has been playing well and have shown success during their careers on links courses. This week however, I’m targeting a ball-striking stud who has not only been hitting the ball well, but who’s whole game is in great form and has done it in tough weather as well.

OUR OUTRIGHT FAVORITE FOR THE GENESIS SCOTTISH OPEN

Rory and Djokovic: A PARLAY IN THE UK!

My pick to win this year’s Genesis Scottish Open is Rory Mcllroy. I’ve laid off Rory all season and for good reason. He hasn’t been able to close the door on Sundays. Dating back to May, Rory has five straight top-10 finishes and everything is working. Over his last 24 rounds, Rory is second to only Scottie in ball-striking and tee-to-green. He’s also gaining with the putter and his short game has been very good.

Both short and long term, when you add in moderate wind conditions, Rory's numbers become better, and with expected gusts between 15-30mph this week, that could be an advantage. Some other areas Rory has shown elite performance on recently have been Green-In-Regulation and Par-3 scoring, both of which will be critical this week. I like Rory to lead the pack this week and knock down some clutch putts to get his first win of 2023. Now Let’s Go Juicin!

Cross Sport Pick to Parlay

In a stagnant week for sports in the States, I’m shifting gears to London for our Juiced pick this week and I couldn’t be more confident. Wimbledon is underway and as we head to the semifinals, Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner have already cashed their tickets. Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev both compete in matches on Wednesday to determine the rest of the semis.

We all know The Joker is a legend in tennis and his record at Wimbledon speaks for itself. He comes into this tourney with 86 Wimbledon match wins (more than the top 20 players combined), and it will take a herculean effort to beat him. If Alcaraz, who has the best odds to beat Joker and can advance to the final, has a historic day with the serve and can improve on grass, there could be an upset. My money is on Djokovic to close out his 24th Grand Slam and finish off our UK Parlay this week.

The Pick: Novak Djokovic wins title at Wimbledon (-200 on DraftKings)

The Juice of the Week: +1550 on DraftKings

It is going to be an epic weekend in the UK, the best of Golf and Tennis are all across the pond and in elite form. The PGA and DP World Tour golfers will need to deal with the elements while the Tennis world will deal with its own GOAT of a storm in Novak Djokovic. For this week’s juice, fire up two of the best ever in their sports (Rory and Novak), to win at The Scottish Open and Wimbledon. (2 Units to Win 30 Units)
